Bringing the best of pop culture, Supanova Comic-Con and Gaming graced Perth with exclusive panels, star-studded guests, epic cosplay contests, anime showings, and a treasure trove of comics and memorabilia.

Supanova Perth 2026 featured an incredible lineup of special guests from across film, television, animation and pop culture.

Highlights included Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future, The Addams Family, Who Framed Roger Rabbit), Simon Pegg (Star Trek, Mission: Impossible, Shaun of the Dead), Anthony Daniels (Star Wars), Adam Savage (MythBusters, Tested), Holly Marie Combs and Brian Krause (Charmed), Craig Parker (The Lord of the Rings, Spartacus), Mitchell Hope (Descendants), Alex Garfin and Michael Bishop (Superman & Lois), Veronica Taylor (Pokémon), Toshio Furukawa (Mobile Suit Gundam, Dragon Ball Z), along with many more voice actors, comic book creators, authors, cosplay guests, and stars from film and television.

Cosplay Community 

Supanova Comic Con & Gaming brought together an incredible mix of cosplayers from across Western Australia. From detailed armor builds to expertly crafted props, the creativity and dedication on display were outstanding.

The cosplay zone was filled with energy, passion, and imagination. One of the standout moments this year was the kids’ cosplay competition, where young fans took to the stage with confidence and joy. Their performances added a fun and heartwarming layer to the weekend’s celebrations.

For comic book fans

Comic book vendors from all over Australia flew in for the Perth Supanova weekend, adding to the event’s vibrant atmosphere. These dedicated vendors brought with them a treasure trove of rare and exclusive comic books, graphic novels, and memorabilia, creating a haven for comic enthusiasts.

From Sydney, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, vendors showcased a diverse array of collections, providing attendees with the unique opportunity to discover and purchase items that are not typically available in Perth. Their presence not only enriched the event but also highlighted the strong sense of community and passion within the Australian comic book scene.

This convergence of vendors from across the country made the Supanova Perth a truly special and unforgettable experience for all comic book fans.

Last year, I shared my disappointment after missing out on a media pass and expressed my hope that Supanova would continue to strengthen its relationship with the local creative community.

I’m pleased to say that this year things took a positive turn. The day before Supanova Perth 2026, the team reached out to offer me a media pass and invited me to be part of the official Photo Wall. I’m grateful for the opportunity and appreciate the effort they made to include me.

Throughout the weekend, the Photo Wall was shared between two photographers. CKImagery captured the morning sessions on both days, while I photographed the afternoon sessions. Together, we had the privilege of capturing hundreds of incredible cosplayers and celebrating the creativity, craftsmanship, and passion of the Western Australian cosplay community.

Thank you once again to the Supanova team for the opportunity. I look forward to seeing the event continue to grow and to capturing many more amazing moments at future conventions.
