September, 2025

Pixel Expo brought together artists, buyers, and companies from across the country, offering a dynamic platform to showcase their creative talents and engage with the wider community.

Pixel Expo took place over a huge weekend at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre, in Perth WA on September 13-14, 2025.

Pixel Expo delivered an unforgettable experience with its expansive exhibitor hall, hands-on tabletop games, vibrant trading card collections, and fully equipped gaming zones where attendees could dive right in.

A special highlight was the retro gaming area, which recreated the nostalgia perfectly—classic consoles were paired with era-appropriate CRT TVs, complete with living-room style couches, rugs, and vintage TV cabinets to make it feel just like stepping back in time.

On top of that, Pixel Expo kept the adrenaline high by hosting electrifying competitions ranging from cosplay showcases to intense video game tournaments, ensuring nonstop excitement.

With its growing reputation as one of Australia’s most engaging events, Pixel Expo not only champions animation and gaming communities but also nurtures the creative and technical skills that help drive the local economy.

Collaboration was at the heart of Pixel Expo Perth, turning it into far more than just a convention. Workshops, seminars, and panels brought artists, technologists, cosplayers, and fans together to share ideas and spark creative partnerships.

Live gaming streamers and independent creators offered behind-the-scenes insights, while gaming parties focused on mental health gave attendees a supportive space to connect and unwind.

Cosplay Community

Pixel Expo once again proved to be Western Australia’s premier destination for cosplay creativity, drawing passionate makers from across the state and beyond. The event showcased everything from intricately crafted armour to expertly designed props, each piece demonstrating the skill and dedication of its creator.

This year’s cosplay zone reached new heights with the arrival of high-profile guests from across Australia, including @misstwisted, @verachimera_x and @soylentcosplay, while international talent such as @littlejem brought global flair to the event. Adding to the excitement, the team of Iron Mouse made a significant appearance, delighting fans and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere.

Throughout the weekend, attendees experienced a stunning display of visual artistry. Photographers were treated to countless opportunities to capture the action, underscoring the depth of talent and the spirit of collaboration that defines the Pixel Expo cosplay community.

Cosplay and Photo Wall

The cosplay competition and meet-ups celebrated character embodiment at its finest, letting both newcomers and veterans showcase their passion.

This mix of creativity, innovation, and community spirit created an inclusive atmosphere that truly sets Pixel Expo Perth apart from other conventions in Australia!
