Oz Comic-Con brings you up close to the biggest names in comics, anime, manga, sci-fi, fantasy, TV, movies and animation!

Oz Comic-Con took place over a huge weekend at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre, in Perth WA on the May 11-12, 2024.

With the best of everything across pop-culture, Oz Comic-Con brought over exclusive panels, celebrity guest, cosplay competitions, anime screenings, comics and memorabilia galore back to Perth.

Highlight appearances include Aaron Dismuke (American Voice Actor, writer and director), Aaron Twaites (Titans), Sarah Wiedenheft (Danish/American Voice Actress), Tait Fletcher (Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett), Tricia Hefler (Battlestar Galactica, Lucifer) many more including writers, comic book authors and film & TV stars.

Cosplay Community

At Oz Comic Con, individuals passionate about cosplay from all corners of Western Australia come together, transforming their imaginative visions into reality. Their craftsmanship ranges from intricate armor pieces to meticulously designed props, each detail reflecting a dedication to perfection.

Within the bustling environment of the cosplay zone, the community continuously pushes creative boundaries, and the year 2024 was no exception. Attendees were treated to a mesmerizing display of visual artistry, providing ample opportunities for photographers and showcasing the boundless talent within the community.

Photo Wall

On Saturday, I had the honor of serving as an official photographer for Oz Comic Con! Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend on Sunday due to prior commitments.

I contributed to the mini pop-up Photo Wall, which was a huge success among the Perth Cosplay Community. It was a busy and incredible weekend, fueled by the excitement of cosplayers eager to get their photos taken!

For comic book fans

Comic book vendors from all over Australia flew in for the Perth Oz Comic Con weekend, adding to the event’s vibrant atmosphere. These dedicated vendors brought with them a treasure trove of rare and exclusive comic books, graphic novels, and memorabilia, creating a haven for comic enthusiasts.

From Sydney to Melbourne, Brisbane to Adelaide, vendors showcased a diverse array of collections, providing attendees with the unique opportunity to discover and purchase items that are not typically available in Perth. Their presence not only enriched the event but also highlighted the strong sense of community and passion within the Australian comic book scene. This convergence of vendors from across the country made the Perth Oz Comic Con a truly special and unforgettable experience for all comic book fans.
